The Cooper Community Child Development Center offers a range of early childhood programs from infancy through Pre-K, each tailored to the needs of a specific age group. Our approach blends play-based learning, structured activities, and strong teacher-child relationships to support the whole child

Infant

Infants feel safe and supported in a warm, nurturing environment designed just for them. Teachers focus on social-emotional growth, early language development, sensory exploration, and individualized care routines that meet each child’s needs.

Toddler

Toddlers learn through a balance of active and quiet play, structured routines, and free exploration. Our program supports language development, social skills, motor growth, and independence in a classroom designed for curious, growing learners.

Preschool

Our Preschool program seeks to prepare children for the rigors of Pre-K through predictable routines, hands-on learning, and peer interaction. Children build early problem-solving, communication, and self-help skills in a supportive, preschool-style classroom environment.

Pre-K

Our play-based Pre-K program prepares children for kindergarten through engaging learning experiences that support literacy, math, social-emotional growth, and independence—helping children build confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for school success.

Licensing & Accreditation

The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), ensuring that our program meets all state requirements for health, safety, staffing, and quality standards.

We are also proud to maintain accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a nationally recognized organization that sets the standard for high-quality early childhood education. NAEYC accreditation reflects our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment and using developmentally appropriate practices that support each child’s growth and learning.

Together, EEC licensing and NAEYC accreditation ensure that our program is held to both state and national standards—giving families confidence that their children are cared for in a setting that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
